Are you a healer?

A ‘healer’ is usually described in part, as a person - who has done Reiki or other spiritual course, who lay their usually hot hands on (or wafting them around) another person using energy to clear away a person’s physical, mental, emotional problems and igniting their spiritual growth.
Ummm,...well, yes and no. There is so much more to it! (I won't go in to full details here).
Healing (which includes everyone) has to start from within the individual person, how they are 'healing' and transforming themselves. Otherwise it is just a woo woo act of placing hands on someone else and all the bravado and ego that goes with it for a quick fix or buck and a seemingly relaxing 'career'.
We cannot take anything from any person, however we can support them by holding space for their transformation.
As beautiful as it is being a healer, it takes dedication, commitment and in fact a lot of internal, often lifetime(s) of work, outside of the actual healing space and in the 'real' world. Yet, a child can also be a healer delivering pure perspective and wisdom and a mirror for our shadows (I'll write a separate post about shadows).
The definition of a healer is also very limiting in this context, it should be expanded and embraced to fit everyone.
We are all empaths, we are all healers, we all are here to share and express our unique blueprint and natural gifts.
So, what are your natural gifts?
They tend to be what comes easiest to and through you.
So, take a few moments to stop and think about your core skills.
What are you doing when you feel the most happy and content?
What are you doing when you feel the most natural, authentic, genuine and alive?
What do you have to try hard at or pretend to do/be? (for me it’s mathematics!)
What comes easily to you?
What do you get internal empowerment and satisfaction from?
How do you empower others?
Are you walking your talk??
Maybe this is for example, in direct spoken communication with others such as public speaking or teaching, maybe this is in visually creative ways such as an artist or photographer, maybe this is caring roles such as therapist or counselling or other expressive ways such as writing or playing music. Maybe it's a mix of the above!
Healing is really feeling complete enough to love and be loved, whole, content in this life on a day to day basis.
This means rising after every fall. Crying with grief as well as laughter. Learning how to love more through forgiveness and being of service to the collective. Being true and authentic to yourself.
“Each of us has a unique part to play in the healing of the world.” Marianne Williamson.
I agree. And be authentically and honestly, you.
Blessings,
